Privacy Policy

The Mystic Koi Growers Community is run by Mystic Koi & Water Gardens, Upland, California ("we," "us"). This page explains, in plain language, what information the platform collects and how it's used. The short version: we collect only what the community needs to work, we don't sell your data, and you can leave — with your data — whenever you want.

What we collect

When you sign in, we receive your email address, and — if you use Google or Facebook sign-in — your name and profile photo as provided by that service. We never see or store any password. On the platform you may add a display name, region, and bio, and post photos, videos, measurements, and comments about your koi and pond. Your email is used to link you to koi you've purchased and to send sign-in links; it is not displayed publicly.

What's public

This is a community: your display name, region (city/area only — never a street address), koi, grow-log entries, photos, comments, badges, and reactions are visible to other visitors of public grow-outs. Your email address, exact location, and purchase details are never public.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your information to anyone. We don't run third-party advertising. We don't post to your Google or Facebook account. Sign-in providers are used only to verify who you are.

Where data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database and file storage) and served via Cloudflare, both operating on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States. Access is protected by row-level security rules — for example, only you can edit your own koi's log.

Cookies & sessions

We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies, no ad pixels.

Deleting your account & data

Email shawn@mystickoi.com with the subject "Delete my account" from the address you signed up with, and we'll remove your account, profile, posts, photos, and comments within 30 days. If you signed in with Facebook or Google, you can also revoke the app's access in that service's settings at any time — this page also serves as our data-deletion instructions for those platforms.

Children

The platform is intended for users 13 and older.
